Also the Gold version comes with the Underworld expansion which gives you 2 new characters to play with, a dwarf & a daemon. With the dwarf you can use guns & bombs, while the daemon has powers that make her the equal to swarms of goblins. If you enjoyed Diablo2 you should find some enjoyment in running around the huge map of Ascaron rescuing chickens & cows,etc. Well worth the 8.99 I paid for it. I try to keep a copy of the game hidden away from the rest of the family and despite trying to keep it safe from the four legged critters in the house, the discs usually do get scratched badly when someone else living here removes it from the computer in order to play his music, movies or games. The only down side to the game is that it often disappears from my comput er room and walks over to my son's and grandsons' house, making it necessary to buy yet another copy.
