Hey Guys, Question for you all. We run quite a big workshop and we process loads of laptops and desktops every day. We have to ship them out as soon as we can as we sell so many so quickly but obivoulsy we like to test them as much as we can. Due to time restraints at the moment we are just testing to BIOS however more recently I made a bootable Ubuntu disk so that we could get inside the system and test stuff like the keyboard, Touchpad and find out full specs etc however I can't find anything on Ubuntu to give you specifications i.e Ram & Processor specs.

In the Ideal world and really this is my question is it possible to have a bootable USB Drive and or CD Drive with Windows XP Or 7 on that will work on the majority of laptops? As a bonus it would be great if we could pre-install programs like Core Temp to check temperatures.
