How to install mdac 2.0 on windows 10

If you are using Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008 or Windows XP (Service Pack 2), MDAC will already be installed. Only install MDAC, below, if you are using an earlier version of Windows. Microsoft Data Access Components is a framework of interrelated Microsoft technologies that. MDAC is now known as Windows DAC in Windows Vista. The vulnerability caused systems that had both IIS and MDAC installed to give an. I know that this is a really old thread, but I'd love to get this solved. Have one machine at a location running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and it's running Deltek FMS just fine.

Tried to get it installed on a new Win 7 Pro (64-bit) PC and (after first installing dotnet 1.1 per ) everything installs fine. This is a network server, local install (of Deltek client) setup. The installer is run from the mapped drive with the Deltek install, per the instructions (which err on the rather vague side). When launching Deltek, the error is: An error occurred attempting to communicate to the database server: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server] Invalid object name 'SyUser' I looked at the ODBC config and it appears to be the same on/for the new system. Thanks, but at this point I've uninstalled & reinstalled several times now. I can see that there is indeed a 'sys' user but what it comes down to is, it's as though with Win 7, the ODBC config is not properly created, and has to be done manually.

On the working Win7 machine, I can see that it's there (defined as a source), via C: Windows SysWOW64 odbcad32.exe If I default to using Windows logon authentication, but don't specify the credentials by clicking the box & entering specific credentials - ie, other than the currently logged in user (workstations are all bound to the Domain), it does say that adding the data source is successful. Clearly something's amiss in the needed, actual config. I understand this is an old posting but I was hoping that someone here can help me.

The company I work for is still using Wind2 FMS ver 4.18 running on Windows XP as a standalone install version. I want to transition to Windows 7 32bit or 64bit, preferably 64bit but need to know if its possible to install Wind2 ver 4.18 on Windows 7. On this thread it appears that many of you were able to install it on Windows 7 but I didn't see which version of Wind2 you guys were referring to.

I haven't try installing it on XP mode and choose not to if installing on Windows 7 is possible. I did try to the step above and install.Net 1.1 first but was unsuccessful installing it.

I got an error about the 'Wind2 FMS require a newer version of MDAC' and refer me to MS KB Q216149 for special requirement to install MDAC on a Terminal server. Not sure why it assume that I'm installing it on a Terminal server. I did installed the latest MDAC and still no go. I need some help on how to get pass this MDAC error so the install will complete successfully. Thanks in advance. Driver ibm 300gl windows xp.
